Mike Goodwin is a Black, Christian comedian from South Carolina. His act, which is as funny as it is clean, centers on hilarious events from his life and faith being told in a low, Southern drawl while wearing a serious expression on his face and a bowtie around his neck. The contrast usually leaves the crowd howling with laughter.
In one of his funniest bits, he shares wisdom from his grandmother that goes like this:
My grandma said, “There’s only two things in life that you worry about: whether you’re healthy of whether you’re sick.”
“If you’re heathy, you ain’t got nothing to worry about. But if you’re sick, you got two things to worry about. Whether you’re gonna get better or whether you’re gonna get worse.”
“You get better, you ain’t got nothing to worry about. But if you get worse, you got two things to worry about. Whether you gonna live or whether you gonna die.”
“If you live, you ain’t got nothing to worry about. But if you die, you got two things. Whether you goin’ to Heaven or whether you goin’ to Hell.”
“If you go to Heaven, you ain’t got nothing to worry about. But if you go to Hell, you got two things to worry about. Original or extra crispy.”
