Ahhh…sweet tea. There’s nothing like it on Earth. If you need proof that God loves us, just take a swig of some really good sweet tea.
Sweet tea is the official drink of the south. It’s ice cold. It’s the perfect shade of ginger brown. It’s got a delightful aroma, it blesses your taste buds, and it refreshes your soul. It’s literally the perfect drink!
There’s just one problem with sweet tea: it looks exactly like unsweet tea. You know about unsweet tea, right? Also known as liquid Communism….
Like Communism, unsweet tea is a failed beverage.
Like Communism, unsweet tea suppresses the masses.
And like Communism, unsweet tea will probably kill you.
There are few things worse than taking a gulp of something you thought was sweet tea…only to discover it was actually unsweet tea. You can always tell when this happens to somebody in a restaurant; they immediately recoil in pain and horror at the unexpected bitterness that comes from accidentally sipping the toxic beverage.
Lots of people unwittingly confuse unsweet tea for sweet tea because they look so similar. Likewise, lots of people unwittingly confuse Satan’s lies with God’s truth because they might sound similar. The devil intentionally tries to mislead us through his constant deceit. He was successful with Adam and Eve in the Garden because they weren’t fully committed to God’s Word. However, the tempter was unsuccessful with Jesus in the wilderness because Jesus was fully devoted to God’s Word.
You’ll know it when you accidentally drink unsweet tea…but it will be too late.
You’ll know it when you’ve been deceived by Satan’s lies…but it will also be too late.
So, study God’s Word.
