Robert Herjavec is a handsome multi-millionaire who’s had tremendous success in technological enterprises. His achievements have even landed him celebrity appearances on popular TV shows like Shark Tank and Dancing With The Stars.
But none of those accolades could help him when cancer attacked his family.
Eric Lawson, David Millar, Wayne McLaren, and David McLean have something in common. All four of them worked for the same company, in the same position, modeling as the iconic Marlboro Man.

It was a normal game of kickball, by a normal group of kids, on a normal 4th of July. Even when the ball struck 9-year-old Jacob Holdaway in the head during the course of play, most labeled it a fairly normal occurrence for that particular game.
But what happened next was anything but normal.
During his lifetime, world-renowned atheist Christopher Hitchens published several books denying the existence of God and the legitimacy of (any) faith. His unique, and somewhat comical, theories – which attracted a large following – dismissed the possibility of an afterlife, altogether.
And on December 15, 2011, he finally got the chance to test his theories, when he died of cancer.
Most of us have the same reaction to painful situations in life: we ask some version of the question, “Why?” But can you imagine having something terrible happen to you…and being incredibly thankful for it as a result?
